Summer reading lists for school – it’s not too late

Does the middle- or high-schooler in your house still have books to read from the Albany City School District summer reading list? We can help!

Check our online catalog for titles from the list. You can place holds online and we’ll call or email you when the book arrives.

Can’t wait? Bookends, the used book store at the Main Library, has many of the titles on the Albany City School District’s middle and high school required summer reading lists. The books cost just $1 for students (student ID required).

We have many book list titles available, including Marley and Me, The Secret Life of Bees, The World Is Flat, Kite Runner, Tipping Point, Huck Finn, and Things Fall Apart. You can browse the Bookends inventory online.

Bookends is currently scheduled to be open:
Tuesdays: 11 am – 2 pm and 5 – 7 pm
Wednesdays: 11 am-2 pm and 3 -7 pm
Thursdays: 11 am – 2 pm and 3 -7 pm
