A sequel to The Host?

In at least two instances (the scene where the souls are seen on the playground with the human child, what Wanda calls “the only hope for survival I’ve ever seen for a host species,” and the final scene where Burns is introduced), Stephenie Meyers appears to set the stage for at least one sequel to The Host. What do you think might happen if the story continues?

On p. 204 of The Host, Wanda tells the group that her species comes “to experience, not to change.” How true is this statement?

Love triangle

The plot of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host is often described as a love triangle, that both Melanie and Wanda are in love with Jared. How much do you agree with this? Are Wanda’s feelings for Jared really love? How much of what Wanda feels is an echo of Melanie’s feelings?
