Casting about: Fahrenheit 451

Ray Bradbury’s book was first made into a film by Francois Truffaut in 1966 starring Oskar Werner as Guy Montag and Julie Christie as Clarissa. A new version is in production and scheduled out in 2010. So who do you see as Guy, Mildred, Capt. Beatty, and Clarissa? Share your thoughts in the comments section!

In the 55 years since Fahrenheit 451 was published, how much, if any, of its science fiction credibility has it lost? How close does the book come to our 2008 world?
