The Time Traveler’s Wife: The movie version

According to IMDB, the film version of The Time Traveler’s Wife is already complete, with release targeted for February 2010. Eric Bana plays Henry DeTamble and Rachel McAdams plays Clare Abshire; it seems that Ingrid has been completely cut from the story.

What do you think of the casting? Which actors or actresses would you have chosen? Do you think a film version could stand up to the book? Would you even go see the movie?

Casting about: Fahrenheit 451

Ray Bradbury’s book was first made into a film by Francois Truffaut in 1966 starring Oskar Werner as Guy Montag and Julie Christie as Clarissa. A new version is in production and scheduled out in 2010. So who do you see as Guy, Mildred, Capt. Beatty, and Clarissa? Share your thoughts in the comments section!

Casting about: The House Next Door

While The House Next Door was already made into a 2006 TV movie starring Lara Flynn Boyle as Col, Colin Ferguson as Walker (guess Colquitt and Walter aren’t good TV movie names?), and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (that guy from Saved By the Bell) as Kim, who would you have chosen to play Colquitt, Walter, and Kim? What about some of the other characters?

(If there was ever a chance of a remake, I think Diane Lane might make a good Colquitt, Mark Ruffalo for Walter and Shia LeBeouf for Kim Dougherty. And how about Ashley Tisdale for Pie? I think she’d be good in that role.)
